Choosing a Service Repair Facility

Choosing a Service Repair FacilityThere are a few things a customer should look for when choosing a service facility for their vehicle.

In my opinion, if a service facility is professional and reputable, it is going to have outstanding advertisements. This is where a business is going to let the customer know a few things that it specializes in and how they can get their vehicle back in good working condition. This is always a good place to start. Also, check to see if the business is running any specials or offering any discount coupons.

Also check if their technicians have earned certification in ASE, and I-CAR. A good service facility is always going to make sure their technicians are current on all the latest training. Check to see if they have the proper and latest equipment with all the diagnostic updates to work on your vehicle. Good technicians will have all the up to date tools and equipment to make quality repairs.

A customer should also try to visit the repair facility before repairs are done to their vehicle. They should visit the manager or service advisor to get better acquainted with how the facility conducts their business. Ask questions and see if they can provide you with an approximate estimate for repair costs before the work is done. Ask about any type of warranty they offer after repairs are completed. Make sure they are professional, courteous and understanding to all your concerns.

Make sure to check the service facilities credentials. Are they listed with the Better Business Bureau and are they an AAA approved repair facility? Always ask if the technicians are ASE Certified. Asking these questions should help you establish a level of comfort and confidence that you will receive quality repairs at a fair price.
